Vernon Powell Shoes was established in 1936, in Salisbury, Maryland by the late Vernon H. Powell. The Vernon Powell Shoe Companies are still family owned and operated, located throughout the Delmarva Peninsula in Salisbury, MD; Easton, MD; Rehoboth Beach, DE; and Onley, VA.

Vernon Powell and The Athlete carry a wide selection of men's and women's brand name dress, casual, comfort, and athletic footwear at reasonable prices, and an extensive selection of kids' shoes in the VP KIDS department.

We have a large inventory of "hard-to-find" sizes in New Balance, Rockport, Clarks of England, and more. We also carry a large inventory of athletic technical running shoes by Nike, Asics, Saucony, Adidas, New Balance, and more.
